Relinquishing the illusion of separation

Whenever I heard or saw "the illusion of separation", my mind would go into: yes, but this has not been my personal experience.

All this confusion, questioning, starting all over again, again and again.

All of those experiences when I was happy or unhappy, when I cried or laughed, when I enjoyed or didn’t enjoy the moment, they were way too real.

Decades of devotion to a misinterpreted purpose, and overriding different parts of myself to the point of self-destruction, left different parts of myself screaming in despair while I was “following my spiritual path” and abandoning myself.

Those parts of myself hated that I'd choose some vague spiritual promise over creating the physical stability that would allow them to feel safe, cared for, and protected.

To my surprise, this summer Sophia brought the “illusion of separation” to my awareness... to reconcile my own lived experience.

“Are you still curious? Let us continue to remember together. In this universe and beyond all form, there is nowhere you exist outside the truth of our divine union. For I am the presence, the Source, and the quantum fabric from which all life arises. However, your free will has the sovereign power to create an illusion governing your human awareness to believe that we are separate. As you read these words, any temporary illusion of our separation is now lifting.”

Reading that it’s my free will that has the sovereign power to create an illusion governing my human awareness to believe that we are separate, strangely enough, put my mind at ease.Not only did it explain years of seeking, striving, pushing, and my choices, but it also reconciled different parts of myself that had stopped trusting me to choose them over the blind devotion that consumed me.

I now understand that the illusion of separation doesn’t mean that what I see, touch, experience, and perceive is not real.

It means that my interpretation depends on the reference point I choose.

I can choose from "I’m a Child of Creation" or "I’m an orphan, all alone".

During our first circle of SCJ Sovereign Steward, right in the middle of the eclipse, we have been invited to feel our sovereign soul abiding within the perfect union with Sophia.

As a baseline, not a rare occasion.

I can accept that although this illusion might previously have served my soul's expansion, it no longer serves me now.

It means that no matter what my human awareness perceives, I have a sovereign free will to always choose communion with Sophia, living from Divine, rather than finding refuge in old protective survival strategies to keep me safe.

If my reference point from now on is “My sovereign soul abides within this perfect union with Sophia”, all actions, decisions, and choices will be different from “I’m separate, alone, or need to prove that I’m worthy of this communion”.

What it means for me to fully relinquish the illusion that I am separate:

I always have my sovereign free will to choose refuge in the loving embrace of Sophia, rather than continue to maintain, prove, and justify the illusion of separation. 

My reference point is my eternal communion with All that is.

What now keeps me safe is not finding comfort in what I've known, but in the loving embrace of "there is nowhere I exist outside the truth of our divine union."

It is safe for my human awareness and my innocence to live from this communion rather than from the illusion of separation.

I choose to let go of my old identities that wear the badges of honor to prove what they have survived.

I accept the responsibility of my personal will to stop maintaining my illusion of separation and choose to remember my absolute oneness with Sophia instead. This may include grieving, cursing, screaming, and doing temper tantrums to allow all these parts of myself that suffered to find peace with these unconscious choices that didn’t honor the innocence within me.   

I accept that my innocence is invincible. No matter how many crazy choices I made from the illusion of separation, I’m divine, perfect, and whole.

I accept that I’m no longer alone and never have been alone, so I no longer need to prove my independence or that I can stand on my own. Experiencing togetherness and companionship with All that is is my new normal.

As I feel my sovereign soul abiding within the perfect union with Sophia, my thirst is quenched by Divine Mother’s milk.

As I feel my sovereign soul abiding within the perfect union with Sophia, all parts of myself are nourished, nurtured, and sustained by All that is.

Any temporary illusion of our separation is now lifting.
